7835 - Road Crossing

In 1985, Lego introduced a third wave of new Train sets, overhauling the starter sets. They also released two auxilary sets, one of which was this new level crossing.

A-Model

Modern times were calling, compared to 7834 this one looks futuristic. The simple house has transformed into a modern cab. The barriers were modernized, and the crossing itself is built of four big new slopes (courtesy of 7866), instead of using the former monolithic part from the blue era. Luckily, the cypress tree remained unchanged. The model looks simple, but has some interesting details. It is a nice little upgrade of 7834. Unfortunately, the conducting rails were dropped from the contents.
